NIGERIAN CERTIFICATE IN EDUCATION BY CORRESPONDENCE, FEDERAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, ZARIA 2008 ADMISSION NCE’CC / LONG VOCATION PROGRAMME
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission to a five-year (five contacts) NCE/CC Programme leading to the award of the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in the understated courses: :
BASIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:- Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE),
- West African School Certificate (WASC),
- National Examinations Council (NECO), or its equivalent, with at least, Five (5) Passes which must include Three (3) Credit at One sitting with at least a pass in English Language, or at least, Credit in Four (4) different subjects at Two sittings, and at least, a pass in English Language. Two (2) of the Credits must be in the candidates major subjects. Also candidates applying for science course are required to have obtained a pass in mathematics ‘O’ level
- (a) Full Grade II Teachers’ Certificate with at least Three Merits (Two of which must be in the candidate’s major subjects),
- (b) Full Grade II with Passes in all subjects registered with a minimum of 5 Years teaching experience.
Candidates wishing to transfer a similar programme in recognised institutions elsewhere or from within the college may be admitted in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, contact of the course.
SUBJECTS OFFERED INCLUDE A COMBINATION OF THE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS:ENGLISH LANGUAGE, HAUSA, YORUBA, IGBO, ISLAMIC STUDIES, PRIMARY EDUCATION STUDIES, CHRISTIANS RELIGIOUS STUDIES, GEOGRAPHY, SOCIAL STUDIES, INTEGRATED SCIENCE, COM. SCIENCE AGRIC EDUCATION, HOME ECONS. ARABIC, P.H.E., CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY, PHYSICS, MATHEMATICS, AND BUSINESS EDUCATION.

With a non- refundable Application fee of One thousand Naira (N1, 000 .00)
- Photocopies of all Certificates
- Four Passport photographs, one of which should be securely gummed to the completed Application Form and should be returned to: The programme Coordinator, NCE / CC, F.C.E., Zaria
- Closing date: Closing date for the Return of completed of Application Form is 18th July, 2008. Registration and lectures & Classes begin for all students: 21st July, 2008. Programme ends 10th October 2008.
- Registration Fees: N9, 500.00.
